I started riding horses in high school when my friend brought me to her English Riding Stable. I vouched my senior year of High School that I was going to learn to ride horses and play the guitar (well the horses stuck) lol! I went off to college at Cal Poly SLO to study and earn a Bachelors in Human Nutrition (if interested ask about my Private Practice as a Registered Dietitian www.LifestyleND.com) and ended up spending A LOT of time taking every equine class / enterprise project available. I learned western horsemanship skills, started training young horses from ground work to riding for the first time to selling in an auction. I took a job one summer giving kids horseback riding lessons for a camp in the bay area and LOVED teaching kiddos how to ride and knew someday I wanted to start my own business. Over the years I've lived on various cattle ranches roping, doctoring cattle, etc ...all horseback. In 2008 I moved to Loomis briefly and find myself back here in 2015 where I settled in and started Rocking Horse Ranch riding lessons! I started with giving my girls (currently 10 & 8 yrs old) lessons, then their friends, and the word got out! I love teaching kids my passion for horses! Seeing their faces light up makes my day!
